Even so, I love some songs on it, like "Against The Rest", "Black Sunrise", and of course, the awesome ''Phobia'' which is the standout, and I think is rightly regarded as a classic now. "Endorama" is a great album, which I think gets a rough time because it's so unlike their thrash stuff. But, taken on it's own, it is very good, and filled with great songs! My fave Kreator album is ''Coma Of Souls''. I just find that to be sheer thrash perfection!

Saw Kreator last night in Worcester, MA. Holy shit, it was intense. They practically thrashed the crowd to death.

''Hordes Of Chaos'' had one awesome song ("Demon Prince"), and the rest were either good, or just average. Definitely a step down from ''Enemy Of God'' which was a great album!

I like modern kreator. it's ok. i still prefer "Pleasure to Kill" to anything they have done since... maybe it's just the less pristine production and sloppy but energetic approach to the tracks back then.

I guess it's obvious I like this band. Their old stuff is my favorite from the Thrash genre.

Kreator is my favorite metal band. I haven't listened to their "experimental" non-thrashy stuff from the '90s so I can't offer an opinion on that. I don't imagine I'd like it as much as everything else they've done, because I like my metal fast and heavy. But everything up to Coma of Souls as well as their recent stuff (Violent Revolution, Enemy of God, Hordes of Chaos) is absolutely fucking great in my opinion. I like Testament a lot, too. Alex Skolnick is a guitar god! Chuck Billy's voice kind of gets on my nerves, though.

12.08.2010 - 19:02 Written by Khaldi on 12.08.2010 at 18:54 Hmm, I actually find that one a little bit weaker than "Pleasure To Kill", Terrible Certainty", and "Coma Of Souls". (My personal favourite! xD) It has some really great songs, but I find a little bit less consistent than the albums I just mentioned.

In that case why I do not play brutal death ? because brutal is very difficult and requires a great experience of play ... I think thrash is the basis for death .

12.08.2010 - 22:50 Written by Khaldi on 12.08.2010 at 18:54 Kreator's style was pretty consistent for a long time. If you like 'Extreme Aggression', you will certainly appreciate 'Terrible Certainty 'and 'Coma of Souls'. Jump forward a few years, and try 'Violent Revolution' - it's exactly the same style.

13.08.2010 - 01:34 Written by Khaldi on 12.08.2010 at 20:11 i just wanted to say that there are some people -like me- who don't like the fact that in thrash metal most vocalists sing the "normal" way (only by shouting). bands like sadus and kreator have different style vocalists and this separates them from many other thrash metal bands. same with sepultura and slayer (in reign in blood mostly and some other bands. i'd suggest you ti check ALL kreator albums -especialy years 1986-1990 and 2000-2009 and then to give a chance to VEKTOR. this band is a great new thrash metal band. they do not copy other bands and they have a good vocalist in the style of kreator's...

13.08.2010 - 03:07 Written by Deadmeat on 13.08.2010 at 01:34 I agree with you. I hate vocals in Thrash. But, like you're saying, vocals in bands like Kreator and Slayer (at least the old stuff) are different. Much more aggressive and not clean, unlike the dumb shouting you hear from tons of Thrash bands. That's why my tastes in Thrash are quite limited: I often like the music but the vocals completely turn me off. I never liked Sepultura. Vektor sounds like something I could like. I'll have to check it.

I'm generally able to tolerate most vocals, including glam/high-pitched clean ones in thrash (i.e. Wehrmacht).

I pretty much like all styles of vocals in thrash, so long as they are good. Joey Belladonna, John Connelly, Mille Petrozza, Russ Anderson, Tom Araya, Zetro Souza, Chuck Billy, Bobby Blitz etc... all are very different vocally, but all suit their respective bands so well. xD

I dislike Belladonna's vocals, so weak .. as much as i like Anthrax's music, its the vocals that has always turned me off that band

14.08.2010 - 16:03 Written by Zombie on 14.08.2010 at 15:27 Joey's vocals are far from weak IMO. But what I think turns a lot of people of Anthrax with him on vocals, is he has a voice that is usually more tailored for hard rock or standard heavy metal than thrash. But for me, this made Anthrax unique, and made them stand out. Of course, the music is great as well, but it was Joey's vocals that made them unique among other thrash bands of the time.

14.08.2010 - 16:11 Written by Angelic Storm on 14.08.2010 at 16:03 Exactly why I think his vocals sound weak and out of place. He sounds like a hard rock/heavy metal singer, not like a Thrash Metal one. Imo, Thrash is too fast and rough to have vocals sounding as if they would fit in a hard rock, traditional heavy metal or Powermetal band.
