As a flag bearer of Slavic Melodic Metal i feel the duty to call attention to this Ukrainian band playing mix of power (lyrics), speed and progressive (music and performance) metal.

From their web page - http://epinikion.com/ - you can download their whole "album" consists of nine tracks from the historical Kievan Rus + two nice metal covers...

I have found them by chance - as a member of forum interested in TES : Morrowind and Oblivion game i saw a post when someone announced their cover of Oblivion theme music...i have tried them, and i must say i really like them and can listen them, so maybe you who like similar music as i do, can give them chance :-)

These guys are quite weird, but I do enjoy them. I definitely wouldn't call them progressive in any way, shape, or form but do as you wish. To me they are straight up power metal. I really don't know what to think of their album, I haven't really listened all that much, but it is quite interesting...

and as i wrote - they made cover of the intro music in Oblivion game and one guy posted the link to this cover on the forum about Oblivion game and i have followed the link...
