hey,
the following is a link to a video on youtube, where myself and a friend muck around with a couple of riffs and stuff. our band is called Altar of Scion, were only just starting to do some stuff so check it out and give us some feedback

I'm going to start a Melodic Death Metal band with my friend. He doesn't have a clue what the genre is about, even after i keep explaining it, and i insist that it can only be that genre or nothing because he wants to go metalcore. We haven't figured out a name yet.

yeh, we got a drummer, but he wasnt there when we were mucking around with those riffs, but we are still looking for a bass player

It wasn't bad. Nothing particularly special about it though, nothing jumped out at me. You should record it and add some drums and other instruments in.

If the recoding quality were only slightly better, then I think it would be pretty impressive, but yeah....something says a home recording camera isn't gonna capture the overall sound in the best way. But I support you 100%

Yeah, I just listened to your last two links. Pretty good riffage man, but yeah, some better recording equipment may be in order here. I can definitly hear an improvement though.

Yeah, I listened to this one too. You have some good dynamics, I like it alot, I can't wait till you can record a proper Demo, tbh. It should be the sound of old school Melodeath all over again

Hey i recently just got done recording an ep for my death metal band and its pretty sick. i listened to your Altar Of Scion song and its pretty sick tbh i enjoyed it. very chucky it was pretty sick
