This didn't get much attention in the old forums, but maybe this time. So, anyone heard of these guys? Any thoughts/opinions? Babylon Whores must be one of my favourite bands. Probably because their sound is pretty heavy and crunchy while it's still very rock 'n rollish and groovy. This creates a great atmosphere with the vocals + lyrics of Ike Vil who has quite a unique voice. (You might have heard him in "The Kinslayer" by Nightwish where he does the dialogue with Tarja) I suppose their style is described as deathrock/heavy metal/hard rock etc.

My favourite album must be "King Fear", and that would also be my recommendation for someone who hasn't heard anything by them. Their debut "Cold Heaven" is basically the heaviest and their latest "Death of the West" on the other hand is more melodic. I suppose "King Fear" is a mix of those.

The status of the band is currently pretty much unknown (I suppose they are on hiatus) but there are rumors of them getting back together for another album sometime.

Awesome band, I found few of their songs recently and now I have two albums, they are really interesting...
And btw, they have great covers for albums...

One of the few metal bands that were inspired by the creepy/sleazy side of goth-rock/death-rock and not the faux-romantic shit. That already makes them a good band in my book, although their music is also pretty good all by itself.

Cold Heaven is by far my favorite album by this band because it is strong from start to finish. The others are good too, but there's a handful of uninteresting tracks on them. The vocalist really makes them stand out to me.

Too bad they're so fucking mysterious...
