In fact the lighting in the venue was catastrophic. At least for photographers. Normally you can't take any pictures at all without flash. I was glad I could borrow a proper lens (Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, picture at the bottom of my profile) for this gig. Hope I can use it more often in future
