Bands
Devil

One day as late as in 2009, the worlds youngest old band was formed. Over a few beers, comrades and festival promoters of Metal Merchants Festival Ronny Østli and Stian Fossum decided to contribute to the heavy metal scene after watching a tremendous Pentagram concert. This was the very birth of what should be known as DEVIL. The gathering of the apocalyptic raiders started by recruiting Ronny's Vesen bandmate Thomas Ljosåk on bass guitar and Stian's Rikets Crust bandmate Kai Wanderås on guitar. Missing only a singer, they decided to ask long time friend and fellow metal head Joakim Trangsrud, who practically was both lured and forced to join the first rehearsal. DEVIL was ready to roll.

Bands
Faustcoven

"Faustcoven is a one man project that tries to capture some of the magic of the Old School Black Metal of the great bands Venom, Bathory, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Tormentor and Darkthrone. Combine this with old and doomy metal like Black Sabbath, Pentagram and Candlemass, and you have a rough idea of what I try to achieve. Ugly and sometimes catchy riffs in a rocking way!"

Downfall Of Nur - Umbras de Barbagia

Few since early Agalloch have written such a stunning soundtrack to your contemplation of the meaning of life, nature, and darkness. Atmospheric, folk-oriented black metal like this can be simultaneously beautiful and ominous. There are things on this earth that are very, very old.

Beware, this music will lead you directly to a life of solitude in the forest, living the bare and contented life of the hermit, brought to dwell on the mountainside. While the folk music is not outwardly dominant, the massive and crushing mood will have you feel the cool air on your cheeks and the icy stream running between your fingers as easily as if you were already outside, far from anyone but the tall trees.

Chaos Divine - Colliding Skies

The most absorbing aspect of Colliding Skies is that it's a densely textured record in view of its smooth and approachable sound. In instrumentation, every aspect sets a well defined and accessible trajectory in progressive metal. It is a melodic vehicle for expressive vocal arrangements which project an emphasis that readily uplift the listening experience.
