Arch Enemy - Issue Statements Regarding Photographer Copyright Dispute

A few days ago, Metal Blast published an article explaining how their photographer, J Salmeron, has been blacklisted from photographing Arch Enemy after a copyright dispute over the supposed commercial use of one of his photos without permission, of the band's singer, Alissa White-Gluz, by a clothing company, Thunderball Clothing, which made a piece of clothing that Alissa was wearing in said photo. The photographer claimed that the fee usually associated with the use of his photo would be €500, but would be willing to let them continue using it if they donated €100 to a certain cancer charity. The band and the company removed the photo and blacklisted the photographer. Now both the company and Alissa have released statements regarding the dispute.

Canadian sludge cosmonauts Seer will be releasing new opus, Vol. 6, due out on February 8th, 2019 via Artoffact Records. It was recorded and mixed by Jordan Koop at The Noise Floor Recording Studio on Gabriola Island, BC, and mastered by Joel Grind in Portland, OR. Cover artwork was made by Cauê Piloto & Robin B. Harris.

To Wither

To Wither never started, it just existed, as Simon Larsen (Iskald, Skaur), and Isak H. Larsen (Skaur)composed the first song in the winter of 2004/2005. They played in some other bands at that time, but wanted to do something different from the others, and the sound of To Wither was to be a little more vulnerable and melodic with a different vocal style.

The music of To Wither is melancholic metal with fragile clean vocals and harmonies, heavy guitars and passionate drumming, which mainly are inspired by bands such as Katatonia and Swallow the Sun. The lyrical theme is mainly about the human mind, dark thoughts and sorrow, as every listener can recognize themselves in.

Carnal Forge - Launch New Lyric VIdeo

The official lyric video "Reforged" from Swedish metallers Carnal Forge, is now available for streaming. The track is taken from the group's upcoming album, Gun To Mouth Salvation, which will hit the stores on January 25th, 2019 via ViciSolum Productions. It was produced by Carnal Forge, mixed by Petri Kuusisto, Jari Kuusisto, Jocke Skog & Carnal Forge, and mastered at Radionika Studio by Dino Medanhodzic. The lyric video was done by Federico Boss (Abstract Chaos Design).

Criminal - Announce New Drummer, To Record Album Next Summer

Chilean metal veterans Criminal have announced the addition of Danilo Estrella as their new drummer. Estrella will repalce Zac O'Neil, who left the band amicably over a year ago. With the addition of Estrella, the Criminal line-up is now three fourths Chilean again. The band also confirmed that they will enter the studio in the summer to record the follow-up to 2016's Fear Itself. The new record will be released by Metal Blade Records towards the end of 2019.

Protector - Streaming New Song

Old school death thrash violators Protector are excited to share a brand new track, called "Three Legions". The track is taken from the group's upcoming studio album, Summon The Hordes, which will be released in the spring of 2019 through High Roller Records. It will be available in both vinyl and CD versions, and on streaming media. Summon The Hordes was recorded, mixed and mastered by Harris Johns at Phonostudio in Berlin and Wolfden Studio in Stockholm.

Adastra

Adastra was concieved in 2001, by Olli Anttila and Teemu Kurki. The two jammed together with Olli in the drums and Teemu on the guitar and played mostly covers under the name 'Paralysion'. Santeri Vauramo joined the band in 2002 to became the bass player of Paralysion. After that, the band started to concentrate on their own material. Soon Jussi Ruokolainen asked if the boys could jam with him in his band´s rehearsal room. Afterwards Jussi was asked to become the permanent drummer of Paralysion as Olli switched to guitar.

Conan - Announce New Album For 2019, North American Tour

Conan have shared brief, yet exciting news recently. In upcoming January, they will begin working on new studio record, the follow up to Existential Void Guardian, that was released back in September.
