Finland's newest melodic metal sensation Arion came out from the woodwork and dropped on the scene like a bomb. Comprised of a trio of 17 and 18 year old music students from Sibelius Lukio and their equally accomplished muso friends, Arion wrote their debut song "Lost" - a versatile piece of symphonic melodic metal - in the summer of 2012, entered it to the Eurovision song contest's Finnish qualification and found themselves in the nationally televised qualification rounds. Perplexed in the midst of the TV hoopla and everything therein, still trying to get to know each other as a band mates, Arion were already getting the first taste of celebrity treatment. After 3 televised performances, Arion's song sensationally wound up 5th among 540 songs and got nationwide applause and airplay.

Lorna Shore

The group consists of vocalist Tom Barber, guitarists Adam De Micco and Connor Deffley, bassist Gary Herrera and drummer Austin Archey. The band's first EP entitled Triumph, released in 2010, carried a distinct metalcore sound before leading into the band's progressively heavier style into deathcore. The band's second EP Bone Kingdom was the first to carry their current deathcore sound and was released in 2012. Maleficium, the band's third EP, reached number 3 on the iTunes Metal Chart and was the first non-digital only Lorna Shore release.

Baroness - Announce New Album, Share New Song

Are you ready for some new Baroness material? You'd better be! While we haven't had much news from the Savannah, Georgia band in a while, today they just announced their new and fourth album. And with it, they also released a new song just now. Their new album is called Purple (and is due out December 18th via Relapse Records).
