Charred Walls Of The Damned - Creatures Watching Over The Dead

I was *this* close to binning Creatures Watching Over The Dead. I could never really crack open Cold Winds On Timeless Days, and after five years of trying, I've determined that it's because there is nothing to "get" about that album. When I found Creatures Watching Over The Dead similarly difficult to dive into at first listen, I assumed that it was also devoid of deeper value; after multiple sessions, however, it seems that Charred Walls Of The Damned has actually succeeded in releasing an album that challenges the listener to do more than simply wait until the boredom ends.

Lethal

The band was formed by brothers Eric and Glen Cook along with Jay Simpson the original drummer and Brian Goins the original singer, Brian came up with the name Lethal. Lethal also added a second guitarist, Chuck Gollar in 1982. Gollar was replaced by Dell Hull in 1983.

Lethal decided they wanted a different style of vocals and in 1984, Brian Goins was released and Tom Malicoat was asked to come aboard. Lethal made one appearance with the line up consisting of Tom Malicoat, Eric Cook, Glen Cook, Dell Hull and Jay Simpson. A second show was planned but was canceled due to circumstances beyond the band's control.

As Autumn Calls

As Autumn Calls is a death/doom metal band from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The band was formed in 2005 by Andrew Ilves and James Hawkins. The band name As Autumn Calls was taken from the Estatic Fear song found on the 'Somnium Obmutum album. Between 2005 and 2008 the duo wrote and recorded what was to be their debut release An Autumn Departure. The album featured 10 tracks of classic syle death doom but was never released due to production and recording issues. The desicion was made to put the album on hold indefinitley and focus new material.

Seemingly out of nowhere, dark clouds hover over Graveyard. The Swedish blues rockers just announced that they are breaking up 10 years after their inception. It looks like after four albums, this is the end for the band. Last year's Innocence & Decadence will then be their last album. They cite "differences within the band" as the reason for the split and cancel all upcoming shows.

White Zombie - Frontman Explains Why There Will Be No Reunion

The subject of a White Zombie reunion was the result of frontman Rob Zombie's recent performance of the band's final album Astro Creep: 2000 - Songs Of Love, Destruction And Other Synthetic Delusions Of The Electric Head (1995) live in its entirety at Chicago's Riot Fest, which took place last weekend. However, Rob told in a recent interview that the reason a White Zombie reunion hasn't happened is because "there's no reason to do it."
