Back at The Fillmore - this time 8bitglitch and I were hunkered down for some death metal. Cannibal Corpse and Behemoth play with Aeon and Tribulation. I haven't had the occasion to see many bands more than once so two repeats tonight was a real treat, having seen Aeon and Cannibal Corpse at Summer Slaughters 2013 and 2012, respectively. Taka graduated in 2005 from The Musicians Institute, where he studied under the talents of Kelly Simonz and Joy Basu and later worked as a teacher. Having reached a solid level of competency and skill, he sent a sample of his work to Mike Varney who featured him in his "Spotlight Column" in Guitar Player Magazine's September 2005 issue. This lead to an invitation, to compete in the 2007 Guitar Player Competition in San Francisco, CA, where he performed the title track from his forthcoming first CD, AngelWing in from of all star judges; Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather, Mike Varney, Greg Howe, and Nuno Bettencourt. Blastanus

Blastanus is a Finnish brutal/technical death metal band that was formed in 2007 when two long time friends Antti Oksanen and Henri Fredriksson decided to take their love for extreme metal music and form their own band. Soon after the formation of the band, another long time friend Kari Väkiparta became the group's vocalist.

The band rehearsed songs as a three piece before they found bass player Mikko Hellström who joined the band in early 2008. In 2010 the band came in contact with saxophone player Jussi Huurre who proved to be a very fitting add for the band by mixing in different influences and spicing up their live performance.
