Named in tribute to one of Iceland's greatest active volcanos, Katla. creates powerful, panoramic music where shimmering guitars, crushing melodies and atmospheric density meet dark, entrancing power.

Katla. - Reveal Debut Album Details

After joining Prophecy Productions, Katla., the volcanic new band of ex-Sólstafir drummer Gu∂mundur Óli Pálmason and singer/multi-instrumentalist Einar Thorberg Gu∂mundsson (Fortíð, Potentiam), just revealed their debut album, Mó∂urástin. It features atmospheric, hook-laden rock/metal and will be out on October 27th as digipak CD, gatefold 2LP (black and limited dark green) and limited Artbook 2CD. Apart from revealing the cover and tracklist, the band also shared the first track "Hyldýpi".

Sun Of The Sleepless - To The Elements

Sun Of The Sleepless is the one-man band of Ulf Theodor Schwadorf (real name: Markus Stock), best known from Empyrium and The Vision Bleak. Even though the project was formed almost 20 years back, only a couple of EPs and a split with Nachtmar were released in the early days, making To The Elements the band's debut full-length and the first piece of new music after no fewer than 13 years. Its creator described it as "a fist in the face of a shallow world!" and indeed it is. It was also more than worth the wait.

Ensiferum - Launch Video For New Song 'Way Of The Warrior'

Finnish Ensiferum are releasing their upcoming album, Two Paths, on the 15th of September through Metal Blade Records. A video for the new song "Way Of The Warrior" has just been launched. Moonspell - Unveil New Album Cover, Tracklist

Portugal's Moonspell are slowly revealing more about their anticipated new album, 1755, and today you can have a look at the album cover art and tracklist as well. Set to be released on November 3rd 2017 on Napalm Records, 1755 is described as "the musical version of the year of horror where a giant earthquake wrecked their home Lisbon. Naturally this album comes and is sung in Portuguese." Fernando Ribeiro also said the band will be touring with Cradle Of Filth in Europe next January and February, 2018.
