Opeth - Unveil New Album Cover Art

Opeth have finally revealed today the album artwork of Pale Communion, their anticipated new release. It was once again created by Travis Smith with art direction by Mikael Åkerfeldt. The album was pushed back to August 26th and the pre-orders will be up on Roadrunner's web store and on Opeth's official merch store next week, June 3rd. Slash - New Album Details And Tour Dates

Slash has announced details of his upcoming new solo album World On Fire. The legendary guitarist and his bandmates Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will release their new album on September 15th via Slash's own label Dik Hayd International distributed through Roadrunner Records (Europe, Middle East, Africa, & Latin America). The cover artwork can be seen below and was designed by American contemporary artist Ron English. World On Fire marks Slash's third solo album and second one with his band featuring Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums) and Todd Kerns (bass).

Marillion - To Release New Live Album

Prog rock greats Marillion are gearing up for the release of A Sunday Night Above The Rain, on 2CD, 2DVD and Blu-ray. It will be released on June 27th, 2014 on earMUSIC and was recorded on March 10th, 2013 at the band's biannual Marillion Weekend at Center Parcs in Port Zelande, The Netherlands. For the first time, Marillion performed all of the tracks from their acclaimed and most recent studio album Sounds That Can't Be Made. Besides the eight album tracks, the band also played a selection of songs ranging from "This Strange Engine" to "Garden Party."

HammerFall - Reveal New Album Details

The new HammerFall album has finally been announced. The follow-up to Infected will be named (r)Evolution, and will be released on August 27th in Sweden, August 29th in Europe, September 1st in the UK and September 2nd in the USA. Coroner - New Drummer Announced

Swiss technical thrash metallers Coroner have announced their new drummer. Following Markus "Marquis Marky" Edelmann's departure earlier this year, the group now confirms Diego Rapacchietti as the new man on the drums. According to the band, "Diego is an accomplished and innovative drummer. He has played in bands Paganini, Venturia, 69 Chambers, and many more. Diego also has extensive experience as a studio drummer for various projects."
