| Hmmmm This seems like it's going to be even better than the first article. Gonna check them all out after Uni and come back with a full report. |

I hope so. Obviously not every issue can be an improvement being that it relies on new releases living up to a certain standard but this issue was incredibly fun to write being that pretty much every demo involved was in no way a chore to get through. Even the "worst" release(s) here should at least have a "decent" vibe, but there's nothing here to lose your lunch over. |

Probably the closest we'll get to adding an NS band. |

| Good recommendations... I'd also suggest that you check out this band Astral Melancholy. I haven't been able to find any info on them, since they're not on here or metal archives, but from the info on the youtube account, I think it's a one-man American atmsopheric black metal band with a demo out. Worth checking out, the guy tries to reflect a certain mood with each of his songs, and does so well. |

I can check it if he's got a Bandcamp page and the demo is recently released. |

Thanks! This was definitely a strong issue and glad you checked them all out. I didn't want a voting option as I didn't care for popularity and just wanted to help promote the underground. |

Definitely! I'm glad I checked it out. I was in need of some fetid shit after going through a few atmospheric/depressive-style albums the past few weeks. |

The music isn't too shabby either! |

| As a pretty new metal fan, I'm not the type to venture from my comfort zone that much (until recently I've been listening to pretty much only Kamelot and Iron Maiden) but I was pleasantly surprised with Barrowlands, I quite enjoyed that demo of theirs. They remind me a bit of The Foreshadowing's Second World actually, another album that's different from what I usually listen to but I like. I'll be keeping an eye on Barrowlands; thanks Troy Killjoy for introducing them here! I would've never found them otherwise. |

Glad to be of assistance! And - possibly - welcome to the dark side.
Barrowlands seem to be getting quite a bit of attention through this article... |

| Checked out Dhampyr expecting lulz, turns out it was fairly satisfying (minus the vocals). |

I enjoyed it quite a bit myself. Had to listen a couple times just to separate the music from the vocals and then judge it with them combined, but it's definitely good shit. Not the best, as I said, but not bad. |

Yea, I feel about the same way about this band as I do about Silencer: "Just shut the fuck up, dude, seriously". |

The cover art Barrowlands used for their demo is by Gustave Doré. |

Very cool thanks for the heads up, this guy is sick! It looks like Watain took inspiration from one of his paintings for their Lawless Darkness release as well.. |

If you liked Barrowlands, I highly, highly suggest you check out Irrwisch and their self-titled demo. It's incredible.
And Troy, Barrowlands was great. As I said, reminded me of Irrwisch, and I cannot get enough of Irrwisch. |

I didn't find it nearly as depressive in nature as Irrwisch, but I can see the similarities in terms of atmosphere. |

My favorites were Dhampyr (didn't like the vocals but I only heard them on one track so I don't mind),Barrowlands and the best one definitely Void Forger.
Iprit was also very decent. And Skumlord... It was hilariously awful.
I really liked Silence the Earth but I didn't count them in my first sentence because I hardly believe they belong in the article. Regardless if the next release has BM. |
