16:01 - Karlabos It depends. You mean gothic like cold/wave post-punk style gothic or gothic like cradle of filth/moonspell-style gothic?
15:45 - Wukk Gothic post is probably a thing too. Kontinuum is the closest thing I can think of.
15:42 - Karlabos Isn't stoner black just like... Oranssi Pazuzu? [link]
15:16 - Apothecary Blackened stoner metal is a thing, it's just VERY rare. BM just seems to be easier to fuse with sludge and doom for some reason. But give this band a peek [link]
15:08 - Hex_Omega Btw looks like new Arsafes is coming [link] it is also a bit similar to extreme industrial
14:58 - Hex_Omega So it might be something interesting. I'm still waiting for blackened stoner metal. power sludge, gothic post metal or other crazy genres/mix of genres which are yet to be discovered.
14:52 - Apothecary I understand that, I'd recommend giving it a peek though, because it's really NOT your typical drone. Shit, flight's the same way with that genre and even he liked it
Here we go. Today we have a little extension of the chord arpeggio shapes I covered last time. Now we're going to add the right hand and tap some of the notes. The muting can be a bit tricky at first. Take your time. Work on one string at a time, then slowly try to connect them in one direction. Then, the other. Finally put them in order across the fret-board the same way we did with the the chord shapes in episode 2. As always, add notes, take some away, change the shape around to make something musical for you. At the very least, you can impress your friends.
Love the screw up with "be careful with the right hand so you don't get the harmonic" (like i just did). as well as them being so automatic that going slow seems far more difficult than ripping off hair-rising metal solii.
next time in town, need to bug you to show off yer chops. well beyond my meager abilites,
