01. ? Rains
I am a nature lover and this song tells how she can possess me. When my sorrow has no cure, I find peace of mind under the nocturnal rains.

02. Once in the Hole
Typical funeral doom lyrics, dealing with demise. This song describes my scorching anguish when I get prisonner of the cold walls of my own death. In reek and stench, I am doomed to rot.

03. Serenity in Darkness
A weird text. Contrarily to the songtitle, there is no peace in this song, but only sorrow and fear. The grand curtain of death falls down upon me, in a godless desperate end.

04. Stellar Ways to the Everliving
A philisophical and spiritual song. As "Once in the Hole" deals with imprisonment and suffocation, this song tells the opposite, which is the release of the soul towards the infinity of stars. This is truly what I would call "cosmic doom", sounds good uh ?

05. Grief
The only "love song" of the album, some kind of tribute to the lyrics I used to write in the early years of DESPOND. The song tells the story of a lost love and then the irremediable descent towards the void and the death of the heart.

06. Moonlight Suicide
The songtitle tells everything. And I would say that this song suits perfectly to the artwork of the album cover which shows the last vision of a tormented soul, who decided to pass away and to rejoin the shadows of the nocturnal sky.
