The phrase "Gothic Metal from Poland" is something that I hear [and read] very often lately, and that's because there is a strong gothic metal scene coming from Poland! At least! I was getting tired that every damn gothic metal scene were from Finland...

Anyway, let's see what we have here, Naamah, hailing from Poland as I mentioned above, is playing female-fronted gothic metal. Let's begin with the looks as I always do, the cover is very good, it has that "Art exposition" vibe in it, fine with me!

The female-fronted thing it can be a good or a bad thing, because me, there's nothing more awful that a bad female singer... so this one can deliver? The singer is not bad, but is far from excellent, it lacks the power and the required range for this type of music.

The music is ok with me, a lot of chunky riffs, some progressive passages, and excellent use of keyboards! Some catchy tunes are 'Stranger' and 'Last Night', this last one has a polish version as a bonus track 'Jeszcze Jedno' [cool!]. 'Noli me Tangere' and 'Sen' are also memorable tacks.

I like this album, and I was giving this a higher score, until I listened track 6 'She Is My Sin', yep, you've guessed, a Nightwish cover. Please go up and read my comments about the singer, I'll wait you here. Ok. Now that you re-read it? Let me ask you... you think that they provide us with a quality version of that excellent song? You've guessed right again [you're good!]. What in the hell they were thinking when they made a cover version of Nightwish with the poor vocal range of the singer??? Anyways, bad choice, bad career move...

So, my final thoughts... I like this one, has some great moments, and good songwriting. Nightwish covers? Never more please.
