I got this groovy release from Galy Records of Canada, one of the Canadian labels trying to support good quality Metal in the great white north.
Ghoulunatics are no newbies in the scene, this is their fourth release, and their first one to hit my record player, the result? Hmm somewhat mixed, I mean this is not a bad album by any means, but there's nothing really that impressive about this release.

Ghoulunatics play a mixture of Groovy Death Metal and Rock, vocals are grunted and the majority of songs are catchy, mostly in the drum patterns.
Although the "grooviness" factor is present in each song, the record fails miserably to maintain me interested through all the 45 minutes of it's duration, because some songs are definitively fillers, and some are just repetitive.

Within some of the boring songs I found some jewels though, Opening track "Bestial Behavior" got me from the start, "Ashes To Ashes, Costs A Lot" is also a great song, title track "Sabacthany" and "Nothing More" are also quite interesting songs, sadly, only 4 killer songs in a 13 tracks record? You do the math.

After a few spins, my verdict is clear, this is a mediocre album with some great songs, I know my next listen to this records is going to be "skip-until-the-track-you-like", but luckily, there's always room for improvement, and Ghoulunatics might be able to do a better job on their next album.

On a side note, I would recommend to everybody hit their official site and download the cover version they do of the Transformers Theme from the popular 80's cartoon show, nice song and a memorable tune that's been in my head since a was a little kid
