DSK, is one of this band which is more and more in front of the Death Metal scene each days in France and even all around the world. The proof is that the band was in the line up of the excellent Tuska Festival 2004 in Finland. If you don't know them again, you must know that the band plays a powerful Brutal Death metal dam effective, and their fourth album "From Birth" will certainly be like a confirmation of this talented band?

"From Birth" is really brutal. This is not a surprise when you know that this band uses to play Death Metal. But however, despite of the ton of double bass drum pedal, the damn strong and heavy guitars riffs and the voice from beyond the grave of their singer, we can also find some really interesting melodic parts in the music of the band.
In general, even if I say it again, this album is damn brutal, the songs of DSK are catchy because it's well done and very well written. The music, is good, but the lyrics are not too bad too. There is a real work of composition on this album, and I could take the example of a track like "Policy Of Worst" with its numerous break and changes of tempo and the great solo at the end to show you that this is not only some basic music.
The production of the cd is good too, with a sound which is really honest, a cover in the vein of all the pure Death Metal bands and my only regret with this album could come from the fact that some songs are really short [no more than 2 or 3 mins for a lot of the tracks] but well 11 songs + a cover of Napalm Death, that's not really important.

If you like good Death Metal, "From Birth" is for you. No doubt that this band will be one of the leaders of the Death Metal scene in France soon. This is album is a real confirmation of the potentiality of the combo, and I will recommend it to all the ones who like real good Death Metal. Remember this name, DSK.
