Death Metal from Italy? hum well that's not really common at least for the ones who don't live in this country, but when I see the first demo "Life Drought" of Subliminal Crusher, I have the feeling that maybe it could be a good idea for us to have a better look on the Death Metal scene of the country. "Life Drought" is the first release of this band and well I must admit that this is well done. If you want good Death Metal you should have a look on that review?

Subliminal Crusher plays a strong and powerful Death/Thrash metal, something which kick the ass of the listeners. Their music is not really new and really original, but in the style, that's more than correct, and the fact is that this cd is in one word, catchy.
Strong guitars riffs very melodic with a strong tempo done by the drums and strong Death vocals, that's in general the mix which does the music of Subliminal Crusher. If with all that, you put in addition some very good thrashy [in the style] solos, you have all the ingredients of the music of this Italian combo.
Really, all the songs are catchy even if some of its are a bit short in my opinion, but the quality is here there is no doubt and the excellent cover of Death "Pull The Plug" show one time again the good quality of the band.
The lyrics in the pure anger and depressive mode that all the fans of Death Metal know are also well written and interesting and here also you could find that there is a real potentiality with this band.
The production is really good, for a demo the sound is damn impressive, but here again we have only a cd with only 27 mins of music and well that's normal for a Demo, but really we want more !!!. It's their first release, but like their band mates of SRL, they should already think about to work on a real first album really. The potentiality is here, then why not

The first release of Subliminal Crusher is not a big revolution in this musical style but at least, the band know how to do something catchy, something that you'll be happy to listen to, and it's why I recommend to all of you to discover this promizing band through this album. To all the ones who want something which couldn't be a disappointment for them, you already know what to do... If you want to taste the underground Metal from Italy, no doubt that you should have a look on Subliminal Crusher.
