Never considered myself a fan of electronic music, until I met my actual girlfriend, she likes all sorts of electronic music, Lounge, IDM, Jungle, Minimal Click, Drum n' Bass and so on. With her I've learned to identify and classify some genres in electronic music, and even like some bands, which I won't mention here because is not pertinent in a Metal zine.

I'm a Metalhead at heart that's for sure, but when you spend most of your time with one person is natural to acquire some common tastes, my Girlfriend likes some Metal bands, I like some Electronic bands, wouldn't be nice a band that combines both genres in a perfect bouquet of countered styles?

That was the main premise of Next Waste Dimension, combine electronic music such as Trance, House and other danceable beats with Death Metal. Bands like Rammstein and The Kovenant have wondered this realms, but no one really fulfilled my expectations, now I had this 5 song Demo on my hands, I began listening.

"Zephyr" opens the Demo with what can be described as "videogame beats", after a short while, guitars kick in, and the growls begin, The Death Metal here is pretty generic, but side to side with the Electronic music acquires new textures. "Distorted Reality" has to be the danceable track in here, Trance music, ready to party! Actually, I really don't like Trance or danceable music, but this is song is quite good.

The two winners on the Demo are those tracks, but the general idea of the band is very innovative as well, and I applaud them for that. Sadly my personal tastes come to play in here, I really don't like the electronic music that they're using as a back up, Trance or danceable rhythms are one of the most hideous things created in the Electronic music field, they should try to use more complex elements like the ones found on Minimal Click, IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) or Lounge.

Besides that little observation, I think these guys are pretty talented, and what they're doing here is pretty original; they need just to refine their sound, making the Death Metal part more catchy and melodic, and the Electronic one more "intelligent". Of course, that's only my humble opinion. A cheer for these young innovators, my bet is on them.
