Kaipa was the leading Scandinavian progressive band in the 70's and they recorded five albums during the years until today. Their first album "Kaipa" was released in 1975, yeah I'm not joking and the band is back now with a new album "Mindrevolutions" through the number one label for Progressive Music, Inside Out. If you want a peaceful album of Progressive music, "Mindrevolutions" is just for you?

You know, this kind of album is not for everybody. Some of you will love it some others will hate it, but actually that's just a matter of tastes. If you want something full of anger and violence, something dark, heavy and speedy, just go away please this is not for you really. On the other hand, if you're looking for an album full of emotions, something beautiful and touching then "Mindrevolutions" is a must.

If you however need a description of the music of the band, you must know that we're in front of a pure Progressive Rock. A lot of Keyboards and Hammond with some really beautiful solos everywhere and above all the nice vocals of Patrick Lunströrm and Aleena, these are the ingredients of the music of Kaipa. It's complex with a lot of breaks and a lot of passages without any vocals but that's really touching, yeah I must say it, the music of Kaipa is beautiful. It really changes when you listen to everyday Power or Death Metal, here at least we have a peaceful music and if you're a fan of Yes, Pink Floyd etc, you should have a look at this album.

"Mindrevolutions" is not that accessible, but if you want a beautiful release of Prog Metal that's a must. However, remember that we're in front of a REALLY peaceful album, something really calm and you must understand that you won't find any aggressive riffs on this release. That's up to you, fans of progressive music, follow my tip and check "Mindrevolutions"? a enchanting album of Prog Rock?
