"Antithesis" is the 2nd album of my Italian mates of Subliminal Crusher. If their first album "Life Drought" was already a good surprise and a damn great start, I was expecting that this "Antithesis" could be a confirmation and not a deception. No need to put any more suspense in this review, yes Subliminal Crusher confirms its potentiality and really if you like powerful Death/Thrash metal, you will have to check this release.

I remember that the first album was already really catchy in reason of a simple but damn efficient recipe: strong and aggressive but melodic riffs. Subliminal Crusher is the perfect mix between a good old Thrash and a really aggressive Death Metal. However, and this is the good point of SC, it's always really easy of access and this kind of music actually only gives you some good vibes and this is the perfect sound to headbang line an idiot during a live show.

As you can understand this is maybe not something really really original but it's supra effective and I think that the band is, in addition, still improving. Actually the 2nd album is a lot more mature and personal, and yes for sure and even if the first album was already goo, I think that it is better than on "Life Drought". The production and the recording, that really sound professional, are great and no problem with the artworks and layout but I regret however that we cannot find the lyrics on this really simple booklet.

"Antithesis" is a real confirmation of the nice potentiality of the Italian combo Subliminal Crusher. Maybe that they didn't create something new with this album, but at least this is something catchy and all the fans of Thrash, like Death or Gothenburg Music will, for sure, enjoy this release. Plus, the guys of the band are good musicians no doubt. Now, let's hope that they will find a good label that will give them the luck to be recognized all around the world but you should already have a look on this album, especially if you like such music, you won't regret it.
