Shaniah Twain met Evanescence? and the result was this!

Slovenia is figuring more and more lately in the Metal map (although this is not exactly Metal), first I encountered Siddharta and now Naio Ssaion (don't ask me what this means), this is band signed to Napalm Records (I don't know why) and gaining more popularity in European soil as the "Slovenian Evanescence" (do we really need 2?).

First of all, anyone who enjoys Metal and detests commercial, watered-down, Gothic-driven rock, stay away from this album, and this review if it's possible. Let me just mention that these guys were the support act for Pink (do I need to say anything more?).

Basically the band offers commercial, catchy tunes with some downtuned guitars accompanied by a violin. The band female vocalist Barbara Jedovnicky, has an amazing, beautiful voice, and by far is the best asset of the album, because the rest of elements doesn't do much good to the music.

The violins sound like something out of a country song (except maybe for "Bow Link In E Minor"), and really, songs like "N.SS" and "Blah-blah" are surely Mtv material.
Why Napalm Records signed this band? My guess is that this band will become big in the commercial circuit, bringing Napalm Recs. those tasty, well-earned bucks. Maybe not what we're used to hear from Napalm, but hey, you got to earn those bucks anyway you can right?

Not recommended for people that enjoy Metal in any of its forms. But if you happen to like poppy, commercial Gothic rock, check this out, although I wouldn't be too much excited about that.
