Well when I see for the first time the cover back of this promotional CD, I must admit that I said to myself something like "What the hell, these guys dressed like a Black Metal bands, are doing on Metal Heaven?". To be honest I didn't know that Bloodbound was actually a pure Heavy Metal band and I'm still wondering what is the signification of this picture. But whatever anyway we just don't care of the appearances, we're only here to talk about music and with "Nosferatu", the first release of Bloodbound (Sweden), we will talk about great music.

"Nosferatu" is a great surprise for me. To begin you must know that the singer is the great Urban Breed, who was the singer of Tad Morose in the past, and well I don't really think that I will have to talk a lot about his performance because as always he is really good and impressive. But evidently, the voice of Urban isn't the only good point of this release. The music is extremely good too.

Let's be honest, Bloodbound is mainly influenced by the legendary Iron Maiden and the eleven songs have a lot of similarities with the music of the band from England. "Nosferatu" with its little arpeggio introduction and it's really dark atmosphere sounds a bit like "Fear Of The Dark", when the rhythm of "Behind The Moon" (especially the one produced by the bass) is not so far away of the one of "Two Minutes To Midnight". Don't understand that it is a clone, it's not the case but yes they play in the same musical category, with the only difference that Bloodbound follow the influences of the "old" Iron Maiden but sounds modern.

The production is perfect and their classy Heavy Metal is just hyper catchy. The melodies are great and our guys know how to write some excellent songs that will probably become hit. The catchy choruses that the fans will be able to sing live are there, the great "terrific" soli are evidently present and the general rhythm of the album is just an invitation to headbang. So maybe that Bloodbound is really near of Maiden but at least it's perfectly done and will please all the ones who like the English guys.

I really like this album, this is an excellent surprise and I'm sure that the first album of Bloodbound will find a lot of success. Believe me, if you like NWOBHM don't miss this album. Our four dudes are really good musicians and I hope that they will be able to confirm the quality of their performance. They will do it anyway?

Demn. Today my speakers adaptor have took the damage that made it impossible to work, so I'll wait for tomorrow and go for repair it and then I'll be able to hear Bloodbound. From Jeffs review I have a feeling that Bloodbound have a good metal sound.

Damn good stuff, real heavy sound, melodic, thats very good to hear. I believe that Bloodbound are able to make a lot of awesome stuff in future. I've hope that Bloodbound will not lost. If they'll put away Iron Maiden influences it will be perfect, other way they may fly away to the land where the Nocturnal Rites finish their job, in the pop-quasi-metal. Cover art is not too good cause this devil's make no emotions to me. I think this is because he have too much computer shits at his work. My favourite songs are: Nosferatu, Desdemonamelia (where I've heard some Tad Morose style but it is absolutely great thing), chorus in For The King - awesome work. All the best for the Bloodbound future.

Finally, at the end of 2006, I hear THIS album. It's definitely going to be in my top 10 for the year and probably a favourite for many years to come. Jeff, thanks for showing me this band! I definitely hear the Maiden influences and just love how they've put their own modern touch on it.

This is a great debut, I hope we hear more from this band soon (and that they avoid drama and don't break-up!!!!)

But my heart is warm as the darkened sun above me...
Nothing can never take away
What I've seen with these tired eyes
