Bonsoir Paris!!! That's the first words of Didier Delsaux the singer of, the number one Heavy Metal band from France, Manigance. After two really good albums "Ange ou Demon" and "D'un Autre Sang" and their first EP "Signe De Vie" the band from Pau in the south of France, recorded this live album in Paris at the Elysée Montmartre in February 2004. If you like good Heavy Metal if you're a fan of the band, or if you just want to discover them, "Mémoires? Lives" is a must.

When you do the review of a live album, there are always three solutions. Or the band and its music suck and evidently there are some few chances that the Live album will be something good? Or the band is a good one, but unfortunately the recording is not good? or finally the music and all the recording, general ambiances etc. are good and evidently, you have a great album. We all already know that Manigance's music is a really good one, the question with this live album was to know if the Live recording, the crowds and evidently the musicians was good this night? Don't worry my friends, I wasn't here this day, but I'm sure that it was a great show?
"Mémoires? Lives" is a good Live album because we have all the ingredients for a good Live album. The French Metal Heads was there, with a lot of crazy people in the pit and when I listen to a Live I want to hear their sings their applauses. If we can't or if we don't want it, we have the studio albums. We need an ambiance and we have a good one on this "Mémoires? Lives". That's same with the musicians; if they aren't good because [evidently all that is possible], no need to buy this kind of album. But no problems, the guitarists, keyboardist, bassist, drummer and especially the really good singer Didier Delsaux were perfect [remember that all their lyrics are in French] and you'll see that Manigance is also a band made for the lives.
The track list of the album is ok, I will only regret that we don't have any songs of the EP for example or some other songs like "Desobeis" but evidently we can't have all the songs of a band on this kind of records? But however at least the recording is perfect, as I said before we can hear a lot the crowd and the sound of the instruments like the voice of the singer are perfectly recorded, it's hard to find a little problem which comes from the sound?

"Mémoires? Lives" will be for sure a success in France and Japan [with a different track list and a bonus video] where the band is really popular. It's a very good recording, which only give you the feeling that you must see Manigance. I know how it is, I saw them in several shows, and I can confirm you that Manigance is better and better each time. This live is one other proof of the great talent of this band.
