As you can see in the track list, this new DVD produced by the Polish label Metal Mind is a nice compilation of the bands which performed last year at the XX edition of the famous festival of Katowice. As always with this "Metal Mania" DVD, you'll be able to watch some clips of the festival and after all it can be a nice souvenir for the people who were there or a good way to discover new bands (or to see how your favorite ones are on stage).

This DVD is a compilation, so don't expect any real long live performances. With this "Metal Mania 2006", you'll be able to see two or three songs of some famous bands like Nevermore or Anathema like some bands a bit more unknown (in general bands from Poland like Vesiana). As always with the label the image and the sound (stereo or 5.1) are simply great and really it will be a good way for you to discover this festival and some really good bands. It's not the most interesting DVD, I mean that I prefer a real full length concert than some clips but all in all (especially if you were at the festival) it's a cool DVD with a good length and some big means of production.

The performances of all the bands are really convincing so I won't talk a lot about it (nothing to say here really/...). But if I have to talk about the DVD itself, you' have to know that the pack features some interviews, pictures, logos, biographies etc. You'll also have the recording of the second stage of the festival. With some bands like Beseech or The Old Dead Tree, this audio CD is a cool compilation too. The "Metal Mania 2006" DVD is a cool material not something essential (Festivals DVD are not the most interesting DVDs in my opinion) but if you were at the Metal Mania 2006, it's a must for you evidently.

If you like DVDs and compilation this "Metal Mania 2006" is for you. Some good bands are featured on this DVD and believe me, one more time the Metal Mind team did its maximum to release a nice DVD. The means of production are just great so what are you waiting for now? If you're looking for a good way to see a lot of bands on one single DVD, please have a look on this release.
