Evidence One is not a newcomer but their 3rd album, released on the label AFM Records will probably be a way to conquer the European market. They play Power Metal, like a lot of other bands nowadays but they knew how to add a some little touches of Hard Rock and Glam and in the end it's at least a bit original (for the style) and not so bad. The nostalgic of the 90's Metal and all the ones who like good Power will have to check this release after all!

As I said in my introduction Evidence one plays Power Metal, a classic European/German Power. But they have something else in their music, they put some "old school Metal" sounds and sonorities and on a side it's a bit different than the Power Metal releases that we can find everyday. It's funny because it's a "new" sound on a side with some old music but it works and it's different than a lot of other classic Power releases. That's a good point!

The production is really good and gives a lot of power to the music of Evidence one. The voice of Carsten Schulz is a nice hoarsy one and it never sounds too "flower" if you see what I mean. In fact, despite the numerous background choruses (which are in the prure spirit of the German Power Metal) it's really direct and really heavy. I will not say that "The Sky Is The Limit" is the album of Power of the year but it's a good release which has its own spirit and taste and it's clear that Evidence One will have to be in your "to-check" list if you like German Metal.

We're maybe not in front of the best German band and "The Sky Is The Limit" is maybe not the album of the year t trust me it's however a nice release of Power with its own personal taste. If you like Power or Hard Rock and aren't afraid of old school sonorities have a look on this album I'm quite sure that some of you will have some good surprises. Sometime we can have some good releases of Power so don't miss it!
