Lion's Share is well-known in Sweden, their home country, but they didn't find the way yet to conquer the other Europeans countries (except maybe Germany). It should change however with their new release "Emotional Coma", a nice album of aggressive Power Metal (which is not so far away of the melodic Thrash of Megadeth). If you like classy dark Power and love the voice of the amazing Patrik Johansson I can tell you that you'll have to check this release. Not doubt, this is a must have!

I really like this album because even if it's Power, it's really dark and a bit aggressive. Actually it will probably even remind you Megadeth (the new Megadeth) and that's a good thing for me. The songs are dark, fast but not in the spirit of the German Power Metal combos it clearly sounds a lot more like the American ones and I think that all the ones who are bored by the trend of the "Flower" European Power will be surprised by this release. On the other hand even if the music is clearly oriented toward the American scene, the voice of Patrik Johansson is really disturbing because it sounds so Heavy and it's so similar to the voice of the young Dio that it can be weird really but that's so good, you'll see!

The recording is perfect and you'll even find some guests like Glen Dover, Bruce Kulick or Mat Levens! I didn't find a lot of bad things on this release except maybe that it can be a bit too much classic sometime but all in all, this release is a great surprise with a lot of good ideas and the performance of the musicians is simply perfect. If you like the lasts Megadeth and if you think that it can be good with a some amazing Heavy Metal voices, then it's already a must for you!

"Emotional Coma" is a nice album and I hope that Lion's Share will find the success that they deserve. "Emotional Coma" is not the album of the year but it's a great album of classy thrashy Power Metal. Have a look on it and I'm sure that you'll agree with me. "Emotional Coma" is a good surprise and I can tell you that I will follow the career of this band now!
