First, "Rat Age [Sworn Kinds Final Verses]" was released in 2006 by the Polish Death Metal label Empire Records. The promotion of the CD was not particularly well done and not a lot of people heard some words about the release. The mistake is fixed now that Metal Mind Productions re-release the album and for sure the metalheads from all around the world will be able to discover this really good band which plays a really powerful Indus Death Metal.

Don't expect anything old school with the new album of the Polish Metal act Thy Disease. "Rat Age [Sworn Kinds Final Verses]" is an album of modern Death Metal which is on a side really melodic but also really violent. Some of you will maybe remember "The Delphic Doctrin" by Tristwood, well I cannot say that "Rat Age [Sworn Kinds Final Verses]" is similar but it's not so far away in the end. The music of Thy Disease is really heavy and loud and since that the band uses a lot of industrial sounds, we have a lot of energy and power in this release. A bit hypnotic the music of Thy Disease is catchy as hell but this is not only a matter of violence since that all the songs are really melodic.

This re-release of "Rat Age [Sworn Kinds Final Verses]" is a good idea, honestly we were all missing something great. Of course it's modern and some people will dislike the release but if you're a bit open minded and like Electronic sounds (don't worry it's not Electronic Metal) it will be perfect for you. Plus the production of the album is perfect and I like the fact that we can perfectly hear all the instruments, especially the bass which is here a preponderant instrument in the music of the combo. "Rat Age [Sworn Kinds Final Verses]" is finally a really solid album of modern Death Metal, the guys are good musicians and the general futurist ambiance of this release is really refreshing. This is maybe not some kind of Morbid Angel but at least Thy Disease is original with its own personal sound so please have a look on it if you're bored by "classic" Metal.

"Rat Age [Sworn Kinds Final Verses]" is highly recommended to all the metalheads who like futurist music. The Death Metal of Thy Disease is original and I'm quite sure that you'll enjoy this release because all the songs are good in general. Let's hope now that Metal Mind will be able to expose a bit more this band to the world and maybe that they will find the success that they deserve.

I love this album. They are defnitely not trying to be the most brutal or technical band in Death Metal but they sound all the better for it, instead they concentrate on what they are best at - quality mid-paced Death Metal groove with fantastic riff after fantastic riff that combine being as catchy as the Flu with packing quite a powerful punch, and all enhanced with impressive keybaord work that really does complement the rest of their music nicely and which turns the whole final product into something a bit different from the Death Metal norm. Their previous albums are good as well, but it is on this one where everything has come together and every song is winner.
