1. Deep Purple - Deep Purple
April: One of the greatest tracks in the rock/metal galaxy, full of symbolics, with number 3 all around. From one of the 3 founding fathers of metal (along with Sabbaths and Zeppelins), from their 3rd album, which has a 3ptych of Hieronymus Bosch as a cover art (btw a masterpiece of itself). It's 12 minutes are divided into 3 parts (each 4 minutes long), at start there is wild-west-melody, then comes classical music piece reminiscent of Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons and at last psychedelic rock, and all of them fit amazingly together. MASTERPIECE!
2. Windir - 1184
Journey To The End: For me this stands as Valfar's memorial. An ever expanding uplifting melody leading ultimately to musical epiphany.
3. Slayer - Reign In Blood
Raining Blood: Thou who don't worship this or even don't know this, go now in horror and take a shower of fresh blood to understand the heavines of neutron star.
4. !T.O.O.H.! - Order And Punishment (Řád A Trest)
Kali: Can't find words to describe this, so i would borrow the words of !J.O.O.E.! from the album comments - "Kali is the best ending to an album ever, and not just because it screams 'this is all you'll ever get from us from now on' but because it's frigging epic and awesome and every other adjective one can muster."
5. Helloween - Walls Of Jericho
How Many Tears: The pace, the guitar work, and most of all the vocals! Delivered by the god of power metal himself - Kai Hansen. I have heard this album some 20 years ago when I was just 10yo, and (lets have some cliche) it fucking changed my life!
6. Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name: Everything in this song is just perfect - music, lyrics, vocals, atmosphere.
7. Iced Earth - Night Of The Stormrider
Travel In Stygian: "Riding on the hot winds of hell, Traveling down in the ship of pain, I chose this fate no turning back..."
8. Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
My Last Words: Mustaine is a guitar spellbinder. A mindblowing finnish of a mindblowing album.
9. Therion - Theli
Grand Finale - Postludium: Thrilling lesson in symphonic metal from pioneers of the genre, articulating the conclusion of now legendary album.
10. Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Tomhet: Simple. Mysterious. Imaginative. Feels like being a photon flowing in timelesness through vast spaces of universe.
11. Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
The Art Of Shredding
12. Satyricon - Nemesis Divina
Transcendental Requiem Of Slaves
13. Testament - The New Order
Musical Death (A Dirge)
14. Moonspell - Irreligious
Full Moon Madness
15. System Of A Down - Toxicity
Aerials
16. Overkill - Horrorscope
Soulitude
17. Gamma Ray - No World Order
Lake Of Tears
18. Crimson Glory - Transcendence
title track
19. King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King
The Court Of The Crimson King
20. Lykathé - Elvenefris
Walking In The Garden Of Ma'at

Interesting. Glad to see Moonspell there, that song really represents an epic ending.

Definitely. Actually, it is a tough choice between that one and Alma Mater from Moonspell's previous album.

Alma Mater would also be a great choice because it has become one of their "best songs" and they always play it live.

What, are you somehow into photons?

Physics aren't exactly my field of knowledge, but I do like people who know what photons are. Perhaps it's because my highschool took pride in torturing students with maths and other mathy sciences, so they bring nice memories of getting endless F's and crying about it and laughing about it later
