Instead of making an arbitrarily long list of all the albums I enjoyed in 2011 I decided to only list my top 5 albums that were constantly repeating in my head all year (and still do).

Sylosis - Edge Of The Earth
I loved Sylosis' previous effort and was nervous when Jamie left. But Josh really stepped up to the plate and did a great Job creating something fresh and different but still great. |

Textures - Dualism
Similar to Sylosis I was skeptical when Textures' previous vocalist left and was replaced but Daniel really did a great job bringing something new to textures. |

Born Of Osiris - The Discovery
I've never really been into any kind of deathcore until I heard this album. Took some time to get into but once it clicked it stuck. |

Leprous - Bilateral
A huge improvement over their previous effort which was great already. |

The Human Abstract - Digital Veil
Discovered this album through a staff pick. Definitely one of my favorite Progressive Metalcore albums of all time. |
