These are the first albums I listened to when I got into metal.
I've outgrown some of them but hell these albums will always be special to me.

1. Judas Priest - Painkiller
1990 - My uncle gave me his copy of the CD when I was 7. I really liked it back then, but I never really gave it much of a listen apart from a few songs up till recently.
2. Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry
1982 - I was also a 7-year-old when I got into Twisted Sister. Never listened to anything past "I Wanna Rock" and "We're Not Gonna Take It". Dee Snider was my hero as a kid - I thought he was the most badass guy ever and listening to Twisted Sister made me feel all grown up.
3. Eluveitie - Slania
2008 - This is the first album I got into when I really started listening to metal. Introduced to the band by a friend.
4. Ensiferum - Victory Songs
2007 - Still is regularly played on my stereo.
5. Amon Amarth - Twilight Of The Thunder God
2008 - My first AA album, and my all-time favorite one as well.
6. Insomnium - Across The Dark
2009 - One of the first melodeath albums I ever heard, and one of the best.
7. Moonsorrow - Voimasta Ja Kunniasta
2001 - More folky stuff.
8. Equilibrium - Sagas
2008 - Still was in the folk metal phase.
9. Ensiferum - Iron
2004 - One of my all-time favorite albums from one of my favorite bands.
10. Blind Guardian - Nightfall In Middle-Earth
1998 - I had never heard anything like the interludes before.
11. Amon Amarth - With Oden On Our Side
2006 - This is the first metal CD I ever purchased.
12. Nightwish - Dark Passion Play
2007 - On to the (short) symphonic phase!
13. Nightwish - Oceanborn
1998 - Sleeping Sun still stands as one of the most beautiful ballads I have ever heard.
14. Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast
1982 - This album got LOTS of play on my stereo. The title track got me hooked upon first listen.
15. Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
1986 - I decided to check out Megadeth after reading an interview with them in Metal Hammer. This is my all-time favorite 'Deth album.
16. Metallica - Master Of Puppets
1986 - I just had to get this album after listening to Damage Inc. on YouTube! It's good, but it comes nowhere near their first 2 albums.
17. Metallica - Kill 'Em All
1983 - My all-time favorite metal album. I think it's absolutely flawless.
18. Megadeth - Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!
1984 - Skull-crushingly fast and dirty. Still love it.
19. Megadeth - Rust In Peace
1990 - I bought this album from the local record store without listening to it beforehand. One of the best purchases I have ever made.
20. Black Sabbath - Heaven And Hell
1980 - Dio's voice is unparalleled.
