Albums that have intrigued me and ones that I've liked and loved from 2012, rather than EVERYTHING I've heard from 2012. One again, more emphasis on the obscure and the unknown.
No order.
Awesome list. Sigh is starting to grow on me a lot, and you reminded me about Diskord, which I really need to listen to.
Cheers. To be honest I haven't updated this list in months as I've momentarily lost interest in trying new stuff (so hit and miss). Just been going for the stuff I know and that I will probably like.
Occultation was quite nice, though too repetitive. Actually I didn't find it via this list, but when I listened to it, I thought myself that this could be in Joe's list, and there it was.

Yeah it's very much my kind of thing, and I do agree, it is somewhat repetitive. Nameless Void has a great and unique playing style but sometimes it gets rather samey and aimless. I haven't revisited the album much since this list.

Yes, too samey and aimless is the biggest trouble.
That Emptiness song sounds awesome. The only death metal I've come across this year that really intrigued me (besides Flourishing's ep) was Ævangelist.

Whoa. Dem ghostly background wails... Every band needs them asap. This is an excellent day for death metal.

There's only two tracks on youtube, off that album at least. It's about $10 on I, Voidhanger's webstore, I think I'll be ordering my copy when i get home. It's been one of the few DM albums I've enjoyed this year so it's worth it...

Actually I can see at least 6 songs from it up on there : P Yeah this stuff is definitely gonna get high marks from me.

Ah I see. People have been replacing the Æ with Ae. I downloaded it anyway so I've heard the whole thing. Looking at that album cover just reassures me that this is worth my money
I'm actually listening to Sodb - Don Seantalamh A Chuid Féin could be something enjoyable. And also maybe: Isenscur - Mónaþfylen and Vemod - Venter på stormene. All of them Black Metal though different.
