Isis - Oceanic (2002) This album fundamentally changed my view of music. I looked into this band originally because they were opening for Tool on some tour. When I initially listened to this record I remember thinking it was pretty dull despite it's heaviness. But I couldn't stop coming back to it. The atmosphere captured my imagination. This music perfectly captures the vastness and spirit of the oceans.
