Personal Nostalgia. (To Be Continued...)

There are many good albums in metal world. But there are some albums that are not just good, but nostalgic. Such works are enjoyable not because of their sound, but because they remind us of good ol' times. The set of nostalgic music is different for every human and this is mine. Let's take a look!

1. Queensrÿche - Operation: Mindcrime
Seriously, I just can't remember any good memories that connect me to that work of art. I guess it is something to do with my unconscious.
2. Queen - Queen I
Scenes from a childhood...
3. Rage - Unity
Some fun I had in school was generated by this album
4. Bruce Dickinson - Tyranny Of Souls
The First time when I traveled to Saints-Petersbutg (the northern capital of Russia, btw) it was the only album in my mp3-player. For a week or more I got up and down with the sound of "Abduction" and "Navigate The Seas Of The Sun".
5. Bruce Dickinson - Accident Of Birth
This is another time I don't quite remember why the albums is so nostalgic.
6. Judas Priest - Nostradamus
A long time ago, I was a fan of MMORPG called World Of Warcraft. Yeah...that game. Nowadays I just don't get what I liked so much in that game, but I remember that I played it listening to Judas Priest. And that was awesome.
7. Solitude Aeturnus - Into The Depths Of Sorrow
I'd better quote a song from this album, "Mirror Of Sorrow": "In a blackened blur of crowding clouds, I dropped my sorrow among the leaves". The album accompanied me in practically every life crisis for the last 3 years.

I laughed when I read about Tyranny of Souls being your soundtrack during your travels. I bought it in Toronto and listened to it as I travelled cross Canada for four days, totally envision parts of my trip when I hear it now. Also had Dream Theater|Systematic Chaos and Megadeth | United Abominations on that trip though. I always try to get new music before or during a trip, makes for excellent memories (in most cases). Hell, think I'll throw all three in and kick back...

Heh, actually, your choice is pretty good. I would've been surprised if you dated her listening to Ahab or some other funeral doom
And you must be a lucky man, because in my class all of the girls(no exceptions) were just...stupid. Narrow-minded. Since then I don't trust most of women. Poor sod...So I've sold my soul to the world of music

You'd surprised how much. Just enough for a small list like this

I share you sentiments about Into The Depths Of Sorrow and Mirror Of Sorrow which is, to me, one of the most beautiful, emotive, sincere and melancholic pieces of metal music ever created; it has provided me with much solace during bleak times as well.
