Opeth is one of the most important names in the new era of metal,a Swedish group that combined progressive metal with extreme metal, folk and jazz into an unique sound. Therefore,it was not easy for me to make this list because all their albums are masterpieces and every release may be regarded as their best.

| Poxy top, in my humble opinion. You should've been listening to Opeth more carefully and avoid paying too much attention on other people's taste. |

| Not bad, but I only agree with the top 3 (because in my list I have the same top 3) and #10 (Heritage). Ghost Reveries and Orchid are way too low and Watershed and Damnation are way too high. |

Heritage bottom, really?
Still its a hard list to make and I reckon many would disagree with my list, for me it would be:
Blackwater park
Still life
Watershed
Damnation
Heritage
Ghost reveries
My arms your hearse
Deliverance
Morningrise
Orchid |

Heritage bottom, really?
Heritage NOT bottom, really?
To paraphrase Brad Pitt in Moneyball, 'There's great Opeth albums, then there's the good Opeth albums, then there's fifty feet of crap, then there's Heritage!' |

It seems I like crap then. I kind of do understand why no one likes it though. It was the first album I heard from Opeth so maybe that's had an impact.
I think all of Opeths albums are great really. |

I agree with you. Although it's not crap in my opinion, rather extremely underwhelming for an Opeth release. By the way, have you seen my Opeth ranking: http://www.metalstorm.net/users/list.php?list_id=2599? Let me know what you think of my ranking.
@Darkness Within
Orchid and (especially Morningrise) bottom, really? That blew my mind. No offence, but your ranking is terrible in my opinion. Seems our tasted are incredibly different. |
