At times, we neglect a certain genre or overall sound due to a "kick" of something that we greatly enjoy. This is a list that goes in circular motions - as the releases tag-out the current "kick", getting us back into something we know we love, but almost forgot about...then back to a previous one - and so on, and so forth.

	1.	Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Yep. I'm pretty deathy most of the time. Classic metal and hard rock are always constant too. However, the chilling, blanketing atmosphere of Euronymous's compositions amongst the bizarrely villainous and unorthodox tones of Atilla Csihar always tend to remind me how much I love black metal.
	2.	My Dying Bride - A Line Of Deathless Kings "I Cannot Be Loved" brings me back to my former, youthful ways of blissful mourning. Doomy elegance is always nice.
	3.	Disgorge - Cranial Impalement The pure sewage of this one makes me wanna be a brutal bonehead. Then I just indulge in horrid death metal that grooves and slams until I get bored, which leads me to the next kick of death...
	4.	Morbid Angel - Domination The solid, yet exploratory nature of this old-school death metal masterpiece always proves to me that we should worship the old-ways...that is- when it comes to death metal.
	5.	King Diamond - Them Classic metal is king, and King is classic metal at it's best. This one will show an extreme metal fan that blasts and gurgles are not needed in order to utterly terrify.
	6.	Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption Grindcore is typically the smallest of the kicks that I go on, which explains why this, a death-tinged grind album, opens the gate into my little grind frolics.
	7.	Sonata Arctica - For The Sake Of Revenge Perhaps it's the playful attitude of Tony Kakko that just beckons me to play around in the adventurous world of power and prog-metal; but I sure do have a blast when I do.
