This is an interesting list but if you like Dio, it's because of his unique voice which was at its best on Lock up the Wolves. The album was a departure from what he had previously done with an all-new band which made it a bit difficult to get into at the time. It just happened to be a bad time for metal. I suspect that if you gave it another listen, you might want to rank it higher. I would definitely rank it above Master of the Moon, which is an album I like quite a bit.

Have you tried Dio's pre-Elf stuff? Ronnie Dio & The Prophets, mainly.

I did listen to a few songs, but "An angel is missing" is the only one I remember. As far as I know, they didn't release any LPs or anything that could have been introduced in this list.

Okay, this is epic!

There was an album (Dio At Domino's, 1963), but I don't think you can get it anymore. I've got a compilation from Amazon, though. Probably only released because of the Dio name.
Edit: I found the album on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRopiBc2qXg.

Seems most songs from that era can be found on YouTube, though.

Very interesting list indeed! Good stuff.

Thanks! I intended to do one about Deep Purple and Co., but having to rank them destroyed me on the inside. Might still do it sometime, though.

I'm brazilian...i'm sorry.
The list is very good though ... a few points against, Heaven and He'll be one of the best cd's so it should be at least second, and another ... Rising is one of the best albums ever made in history !! ! Long Live Rock 'n' Roll another classic take your breath away. Shaken guitars of the former Deep Purple and Ronnie's incredible lyrics with his powerful and incomparable voice, both replaced Ozzy more terde and replaced very well. These albums should have a better placement on the list. Of course everything is a matter of taste, very personal but ... many young people enjoy the classics, what many people have heard and a lot of followers does not mean that there is quality. Obviously it has quality in everything on your list ... but some better than others on that one.
