I have never really heard of anyone saying they hate either band.
Marcel actively hates Dethklok - to the point he doesn't even consider them in any way death metal (melodic or otherwise). 
they play extreme power, nothing more nothing less  and a very bland version of that even.
imo Dethklok were always just about the funny lyrics and nothing else, who cares about the genre with songs like Birthday Dethday and Fansong  |

even the lyrics are lame. And for a band to be good the music has to be good for me no the lyrics and the music is bog standard run of the mill cheesy extreme power.
The show itself is marginally better than the lyrics but even the show isn't too funny at all. It fall short on so many levels. They should have taken a cue out of a great spoof such as This Is: Spinal Tap. They could have learned a lot from that. |

Too much swearing? Never noticed almost any swearing in there at all For my swearign I go to South Park
EDIT: Too loud? The play extreme power metal in that show. If there is one thing that is not loud it's that abomination of music  |

I've met plenty of people who hate them, be it in real life or online. Most people hate them because they're part of the melodic metalcore/Christiancore scene, but others hate them because of their whiny emo teenager fanbase. |

Not why the creator hates them, but a list of bands that the majority of Metal Storm users apparently hate.
Of course, some people might hate popular bands due to their popularity alone, while others may simply dislike some popular bands because they don't like their style. |

I used to listen to 3 bands on that list and whilst I don't particularly listen to them any more, I wouldn't say I hated them. It's just the fact that I know now that there's a lot of bands playing technically better music than the ones that have been listed and so they don't really interest me. But, the kids have got to start somewhere, right? Some will tire of the genre and fall by the wayside, some will go on like I have to uncover the bands more deserving of credit.
For me it was Disturbed, System of a Down and Korn that helped set me on my way to the music I enjoy today. At the time it was a trend to listen to those sort of bands. The trend died, I got bored and I moved on to better things. The way I see it, you've got to start somewhere and if that means joining the bandwagon then so be it (especially if you've not been brought up with a rock/metal background). |

| This list is a perfect list of the most hated bands, though I personally don't mind Disturbed, Slipknot, or Manowar that much. At the same time, I can see why they're hated. I still think System of a Down is pretty decent, though. |

Well if it is so, it's sad...but you can see Maiden aren't on this list although they are most popular band in the terms of fans here, same with Dream Theater, Opeth, Slayer, Megadeth, Death...so its really not just the popularity itself what gets you on this infamous list  |
