A List Of Great Debut Albums
A lot of bands have great debut albums. Obviously this list is just a fraction of all the great debut albums out there, but it's a start. I'll keep expanding this list continuously, so all suggestions are welcome. My favourite genres are Doom, Black and Gothic Metal, but I also like Progressive, Thrash and Death Metal. All albums on this list are at least worth an 8/10 rating. I included genres of each album as well. |

Lately I have found that I am really, really into melodeath and doom/melancholic metal albums. I enjoy other genres, but after a while I keep reverting back to a small list of masterpieces.

Rather, the focus is on the true aspect of the music, i.e. feelings of gloominess and despair expressed in a hearty and beautiful manner through music, the music that evokes wonderful emotions! This list is the best album of every year that is represented in my current collection. Some years were really hard to choose as there were many deserving albums, others I had one or very few to choose from. The quality of albums drops off pretty severely after 1992 in my opinion.
