MMXI: Handpicked by MechanisT
Best (and worst) of 2011 (thus far).
Partially ordered (thus far).
Subject to change, as I see fit.
What a wonderful year, I have to say! This year has seen me expand my tastes like never before. Discovered so many great new acts, while many metal stalwarts delivered the goods as expected. A truly memorable year, and one that I will forever cherish, as far as me being an avid music enthusiast is concerned. |

The Metal Art Of Thrashing (Ordered By Years)
So we just entered 2013, a new year in the metal world. For those not familiar with my Thrash List, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but calm down, breath, and let me give you few tips on how to browse this thing properly. First, it is important that you understand that it is ordered by years of release. Knowing that, if you're an old school thrash fan, you might not like albums past the year 1995 which is currently marked by Meshuggah's album ''Destroy Erase Improve''. Though if you do like modern thrash, you may proceed past this point. Just take my list like if it was a big encyclopedia of nice thrash releases. Hope you enjoy it and don't be shy to let me know if you do or don't. |

Booooobs
They are on covers of every Metal genre and staged in all ways one can think of: Boobs! Noticing that there are are a few covers with this part of the female body (NO man boobs - NO Manowar) on it, I had the idea to make a list with those CDs. At the beginning, there were only 25 albums on it -which is not very much-, but with looking out for boobs on Metal covers, it became longer and longer. And now, it is a list with 170 albums and suggestions are always welcome! |

Playing To My Strengths: Facing Death And Its Technicalities
This is my manual for getting into one of the most complex, ridiculously insane genre there is: techdeth! Many albums featured here may borrow elements from other genres (prog, thrash, melodeath, grindcore, post, etc.), but the dominant stench of complexity-laden death metal is forever present, and so deserve to be mentioned here. |

Space Metal!
As a lover of all things sci-fi I find metal to be the most accommodating of genres when it comes to themes of space/aliens. This is a list of those albums which use this theme and/or evoke an overall 'spacey' atmosphere and which I find particularly intriguing and enjoyable. No order for now and a work in progress (recommendations most welcome) Last Updated: 20th May 2013 |

2.

3.

2012: Towards The Megalist
I'm (sorta) back. *The Finishing Touches* OKAY, so obviously not as much stuff from the last half of the year as the first. Sorry guys, but that first six months nearly killed me. Some stuff as a result will be missing, but major stuff not present is stuff I probably didn't care for. Alrighty then, enough with the "stuff"... |
