stingy year of albums for me. Not the best year too, but in unluck i'm still here alive.

and i'm deeply sad that Bandcamp has been acquired by Epic Games, only for the purpose to going against Google. Damn my eye if i hate so much when greedy and shitty big tech company not respectful of privacy (both of them) ruins healty tech company that gives the right to artists (expecially indipendent ones) and customers. 2017 was an interesting year, overall a solid year but the most notable thing about it the nostalgia sound, many new and old bands reuniting to old sounds but in a new way, Thrash metal had a pretty solid year same with death metal and doom, black metal was in its peak with the ambient mix sound and Progressive metal had a solid showing along with power metal.

This is a list of progressive metal albums (in alphabetical order) based on their artwork. It includes iconic cover art from classic albums as well as fascinating work from more recent releases.
There is a saying that "you should not judge a book by its cover", which is of course also true in the case of music albums. However, the artwork can complement the production and give a visual introduction to the musical theme and atmosphere. More than for any other kind of music, this may be true for metal.
