2011 Selections Each year countless of albums come out. This is obviously by no means a definitive guide because as of 14/12/2011, I've only heard 364 releases from 2011, but do check these albums out if you haven't already! Feel free to throw stuff at my direction. In a rough order right now and rankings get rearranged every now and again. Will be trimmed around again in January / February. Note that I still have plenty to check out though.

Djent In order of release date, a list of what are in my opinion, the best Djent related albums. (I say 'djent related', because in many cases it is not their primary genre).

Deathcore 101 This is a list of deathcore albums I think positively about. Meaning I include both stuff I think of as enjoyable and stuff I consider to be brilliant music. Order is alphabetical, also only one album per band.
Recs are much welcome!

Divine Code For The Comfort Of Cowards : Best Of Death Metal In 2011 No word from DM giants like Gorguts, Quo Vadis, Cryptopsy, Viraemia, The Faceless, Augury, Kronos, Martyr.Yet DM unleashed an entire fleet of some mighty monsters, minions, imps and all sort of decibel devils.
This list includes everything from Post-death to Old school death n roll records.I also kinda like slick production a little better, not that i despise the rough one.It depends on the what kind of vibe the album tries to convey.

Overr's List Of Worthwhile Deathcore Albums As much as I love deathcore, I can not deny that the genre kinda sucks. A lot of it is generic, monotonous, and repetitive open-note chugging to create a background for a vocalists who are very talented but all sound the same. That's why you can rely on me to sort through those albums to find the legitimately interesting albums. It's still deathcore, don't get me wrong, so don't be surprised to hear breakdowns and/or BREE BREEs. Unless there was a significant stylistic change, I am only mentioning one album per band. I also am not mentioning Fallujah, The Faceless's Akeldama, or other semi-deathcore bands/albums that are already very well known and loved in the metal community. If you haven't listened to them, please do so, they're fantastic. Albums that are very enjoyable even if you hate deathcore are marked with a (*). It does not mean quality, it means accessibility.

The Best Metal Albums* From A To # (B) This list is meant to be an extensive, but by no means exhaustive, collection of the greatest (modern) metal albums and eps. Running the gamut from avant-garde to trve norweigan black metal. *As someone who is young in age, my tastes tend to revolve around the period of the 80s to the present.* Although certain metal albums from before will certainly be featured, the period of the 60s-70s will be under-represented. I refer you to this excellent list to gain a better appreciation for some of the best metal from that period: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/freis/martin_popoffs_the_top_500_heavy_metal_albums_of_all_time/
