My ranking of all Ayreon's studio albums. The indisputable best album for me is Into The Electric Castle, followed up closely by The Human Equation (I think Disc II is superior to Disc I though). 01011001 is an amazing album that contains brilliant long and epic tracks, although it also suffers from a few pretty mediocre tracks, so it's not a very consistent album in my opinion. And although The Universal Migrator Part I: The Dream Sequencer is a great album, it contains a few weaker tracks. My absolute least favourite album is Actual Fantasy, which has more mediocre tracks than great tracks. I have included ratings as well as the best songs (which are my favourites) of each album (3 songs (1-disc album) or 6 songs (2-disc album)), although this was extremely hard for #1 on this list, since I love pretty much every song on that album.

Here's a list of mostly Gothic Metal albums, exclusively of the "Beauty and the Beast" type (which refers to clean "angelic" female vocals contrasted with male growls/screams). I made this list because it's one of my all-time favourite subgenres of which I own "a lot" of great albums. Since there are several lists of the best Gothic Metal albums on MS, I didn't feel like creating a similar one, but rather an exclusive list solely comprised of this subgenre. It could be useful as a guide for people who are searching for these kinds of albums, though I'm very open to suggestions since I obviously haven't heard all great albums yet. Lastly, everything on this list is at least worth a 7.5/10 rating and I only add a maximum of 3 albums per band.

My ranking of all Opeth's studio albums. Blackwater Park and Morningrise are the best albums in my opinion. My least favourites are Damnation and Heritage. Damnation is one heck of an album, though I'm not overly fond of its style. Lastly, I think Heritage is a little underwhelming for an Opeth release, but it's still good. I included ratings as well as the best songs (my personal favourites) of each album.

My ranking of all My Dying Bride's studio albums. Turn Loose The Swans and Songs Of Darkness, Words Of Light are the two best albums for me. I basically like every album a lot, except for For Lies I Sire. It's not bad obviously, but it was a disappointment for me, hence why it's below 34.788%... Complete. The last album being a very experimental/strange album, but it still contains a few great songs. I included ratings as well as the best (in my opinion of course) songs of each album.
