I have been quiet lately (haven't been doing much album reviews) and that has to do with some new things going on, so to make it up I finally decided on my top 25 Albums of 2021 as well as the number 1 (my album of the year) this time deciding to post after the metal storm awards to discover more music. A lot of heavy hitting bands release a lot of albums, even one in particular that I normally don't listen to encouraged me to buy one of they're LP's and another band I discovered that had me liking almost all of they're discography upon discovering. It was definitely another great year of metal and certainly can't to hear more music this year.

By far the worst year for me... Period!

However, throughout the chaos that has happened in my country, I never stopped listening to new music that comes out this year, and have found some cool gems that have released this year. So it is time to list my favorite albums of the year.

Yes, I decided to do another gothic metal list because it been rapidly changing since my last two lists. I love revisiting this kind of list because of how different my tastes have changed withing this genre of music I'm passionate about.

I will most likely look back at this decade as the dark ages of popular music. A time where mainstream music was largely dominated by talentless pop/hip hop music with less memorable songs than the previous decade. However, that doesn't mean that metal music followed the same path. While it was largely dominated by metalcore during the beginning of the decade, I started to grow to love more music in this decade for metal music than I initially did during the beginning of the decade. This was the decade where I became a metalhead, where I became who I am today and started expanding my horizons musically and learn to appreciate a lot of metal music released during this decade and that will be something I will look back at fondly. As the 2010's comes to a close, I decided to make a list of the top 50 metal albums of the decade that I would consider the best. NOTE: this list might change if I discover more music from this decade that I thought are amazing.
