Biography

Having had a long career in Death Metal as a guitarist in bands like Tormentor, Shub Niggurath, Cenotaph and The Chasm, Julio Viterbo decided to reconnect with heavy metal which was the style of music that, from an early age, enveloped him and gave meaning to his life. August 2013 was the launch of Acerus, a Heavy Metal band for which Julio Viterbo composed half the songs on the first album.

This work was a turning point in his career as a guitarist as it explored new sounds and scope in its composition. By 2015 he decided to make a personal project of Heavy Metal oriented NWOBHM but retaining other influences that have accompanied him throughout his life as a musician. Thus was born Heavens Apart, with its own identity and style, evoking the old sounds whose roots are the essence of metal. After composing several songs Julio invited Oscar Clorio (Damned Cross, Cenotaph, Shub Niggurath, Denial) as the drummer to undertake this new journey, with whom he had previously worked in Cenotaph and Shub Niggurath.

After a year working together they looked for a vocalist in order to close the circle and begin the adventure in the recording debut. They decided to recruit Nick Hernandez (Stone Magnum) who is credited with a long career in metal to be the vocalist. The development and refining of the songs was done via the internetas Oscar lives in Mexico City and Juio and Nick in Chicago. Finally in July 2016 they recorded their debut album "The Great Void Of Mystery" in Minbal studios in Chicago. Recording was engineered by Matt Russell and was mastered by Dan Swanö in Unisound studios in Sweden. The album will be released in November 2016 by Chaos Records of Mexico. The band is already working on new material to record another album next year full of cutting Heavy Metal.
