Indeed. I think Dave is an idiot, but that does not prevent this album (or indeed, any of Megadeth's other classic albums) from being great. Same as how Glen Benton being a grade A fool doesn't stop their first few albums from being death metal classics.

Dave Mustaine at a very recent interview he said that when he was playing the RIP songs live in the anniversary tour he was thinking "who was I was trying to impress back then?"... he actually said that. eeermmmm... maybe your fans Dave? who were you trying to impress when writing Super Collider then?
But then, if he had that attitude (who am I trying to impress) nowadays, maybe he would release again masterpieces like this one, or close to this
Not that I complain, he released albums like Endgame and The System has Failed, but no matter how great these albums are, they do not touch RIP or Peace Sells

Totally agreed.Dave can be a douchebag sometimes,he is tyrant and dictator in his band,one word
and whole line up could change within one hour,I don't know,maybe Chris Broderick or Dave Elleffson thought diifferent approach
to the last album but they know Dave has the first and last word,you know waht I mean...
As for this album,a masterpiece beyond belief.

You know, I love thrash, I think Megadeth is pretty good, and I do think this is a great album, however there is one thing I disagree on. This album is #1 on MS? Really? When I hear "Greatest metal album of all time", I don't think of this, nor Megadeth at all. I don't get how anyone could think this is the best album in metal at all. Acts like Edge of Sanity, Agalloch, Opeth, Death, etc. make music that isn't about just your average "angry metal" sound, but go deeper into their music and make some profound connections which I feel makes truly great music that transcends above all others. So yeah, this album is now also #1 on the list of most overrated albums of all time.

I, too, share the same confusion as to why this is the "best album of all time". How it is, however, makes perfect sense: popular band, popular album, lots of votes, voila.

Well deserved of its current #1 spot on the charts. This is an unbeatable fucking album and for the life of me I cannot help but to headbang whenever I throw it on.

Listened to it again. Amazing album.

Not really. A very good album but it is overrated a bit. It is not even my favourite Megadeth album.

Love the riffs, everything is awesome exept the vocals, I cant stand his voice...

Tis album would have been better if there were at the moment another vocalist, god, mustaine sucks at vocals
