This one good album SlipKnoT but not their best album.
5 songs - wait and Bleed - Spit It Out - Surfacing - Me Inside - Liberate - Are among the best songs in this album.

Agreed! It does have a small amount of filler, but overall, it's a great album. And was very unique at the time it was originally released. xD

I used to listen to these guys when I was younger just getting into metal and the had some pretty good songs that helped me get into metal more like with Metallia and then black metal like Varg.

It's good and you should revisit it. I think Corey Taylor would appreciate the money.

No, the rating for this album is the average rating of all the voters. It's an average rating. If the average rating for an album was 9.5, that's still an average rating, because it's the average of all votes for the album. Same if the average rating was 4.5.

I don't have a narrow mind for alternative/nu metal, but Slipknot and Limp Bizkit are two bands which I consider plain and boring. The only tune I could dig here was "Purity", the rest just sounded like teen satanic stuff...

As far as I'm concerned, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit don't even play the same style of music, despite both being labelled as "nu metal". And I've always liked Slipknot, whereas Limp Bizkit have always been quite awful by my reckoning. In any event, I'd never compare the two bands, because they sound so different to each other.

Wayyy overrated album and band in my opinion. There was a time when I was big into this genre, but even then, this is one of the weaker bands, although I loved them. Not the worst though, that would be their later work. But this album had some cool tracks, but feels very repetitive. I don't get why metal fans worship this album.
