Still not sure whether I like this or the new Draconian more.

When I get my review done you'll find I feel the same way. I think Under A Godless Veil has higher peaks, but I probably slightly prefer Another World as a complete package

Still not sure whether I like this or the new Draconian more.

Both this and Under A Godless Veil are equally amazing.

The Melting Snow

Heike has been a part of 2 albums this year and both are excellent. She really interprets and delivers the lyrics very effectively.

I like the first 2 and the last song here. Haven't listened to the other 3 too much as of yet. I just keep playing The Oldest House on repeat.

Bad English

This is post rock, post metal touches whit Draconian influences, way away from main band members sound, sortha hate or like album, cant be between, can we? I dont like ixion Heike's project. Here well I like those heavier doom parts, can enjoy softer parts, but well I disagree whit reviev, this is not her best work this year, Draconian is.
Life is to short for LOVE, there is many great things to do online !!!

The Melting Snow

I think Draconian's album is far superior to this. The songwriting and compositions there are near perfect.

This album is good for a side-listen though. The vocals are good and some songs have very memorable points.

having said that, i don't think it should be compared to Draconian in the first place. This is very very different. Heike is the only common denominator. Other than that almost everything is different, especially the use of electronics, absence of male vocals, simple guitars, and the lyrical theme.

Thanks a lot MS Awards! I totally missed that album and was just blown away by it! I feel that Doom Metal is usually quite earthy, yet this one has a spacey aspect to it. I guess you'd expect that from musicians coming from an atmospheric black metal band. And since I absolutely love spacey atmo black, I'm delighted to hear those influences blended successfully into another genre.

Also, Heike fits that atmosphere perfectly.

Liked Draconian and feel its far better than this.
In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘
