Reflecting on this album after both Frédéric Leclercq and Mike Heller appeared on the latest Sigh album together, I can't help but wish that I enjoyed this more. The two of them are incredible musicians and for Leclercq, at least, this seems like a comfortable style. I'm also a fan of Saki's work: Destrose was incredible while it lasted and Mary's Blood has some great stuff. When you throw in Coen Jansson's experience with Epica and the very different but very cool guests of Elize Ryd and Sean Reinert, this project seems to have a huge amount of potential.

I think a lot of it comes down to the vocals. ON their own merits they're not very exciting and they fall very flat in context. If only they could get Fuki - then Amahiru could probably take off.
