Not entirely sure if they're considering it an EP or Full-length; it's only 5 tracks, but it does run to nearly 40 mins in length based on the tracklist lengths posted on their facebook
In any case, always stoked for more CoL

I think the cut-off for an EP is somewhere between 25-30 mins. We can make it an album unless it explicitly states elsewhere

Everything about it suggests it's an LP: the way it's being marketed, the run time, the price tag...
Not sure why it was added as an EP in the news posted here.

It says new EP here.
Weird. I guess that explains the news article we posted, it just seems strange to market it as an EP considering everything about it. Most bands would advertise 40 minutes of new material as a full-length album.

I guess compared to the 80 minutes on A Dawn To Fear it's bitesize in comparison; they've also given it a lower price tag than their normal albums. But yeah, it's a lengthy EP (not that I'm complaining)

I think it's funny Slayer - Reign In Blood 28min59 and most of the municpal waste album are below 30 min .... but yes for Cult Of Luna this is short but can't wait I ordered 2 vinyls .

I think we should have it as an album here, so more people notice it and get to listen to it. Even if it's an EP by their words, it's a lot of new material. Judging by the first single, this will be way better than a dawn to fear, as well. Which says a lot, cause that was a splendid album.

Lol I think it's weaker than 80% of the songs across the last 3 albums - I still like it a lot but dunno how anyone could consider it better than The Weapon, Vicarious Redemption, In Awe Of, Chevron, Cygnus, The Silent Man, Lights On The Hill, The Fall... Hyped for it, but bizarre to see it considered by anyone as better than everything from the last 3 albums

Don't get me wrong friend , I love those songs you mention, and a lot others of course from those albums too. After all, my favorite band of all time. It's just that Three Bridges strike a chord similar to SATH in me, which I've longed for.

Country blues (I think) track is a nice touch though this is my first time listening to an CoL album so not sure if they've done it before. Catchy drum beat in, "Wave After Wave".

Not much different from A Dawn to Fear. An outtakes collection, maybe. Just as good, though. These guys are pretty damn good.

Powerful record.
What itching me is wish this record could have been full length seeing the crushingly beautiful momentum that carried away from the start.
Looking forward to full length. Will wait astoundingly.

It's safe to assume at some point the Midas touch will fade, but that isn't the case here. Just another solid archetypal Cult of Luna banger from start to finish.

It's curious how this is just regular post metal, just like a thousand bands. Except that the thousand bands sound bland, but Cult of Luna just doesn't. In fact they make you want to keep listening from start to finish
The difference actual songwriting makes
