Well yuo actually can't blame Metallica for doing the same album over and over again

Unlike most people here, I don't care if it's dark or not or if it's menacing or brutal. Music is not about that and it shouldn't always be evil or melancholic to be good. I actually consider that to be stupid I mean who said evil and dreadful is cool and something the opposite is gay? if the music is good I rate it high. Load is not a crappy album, it has a lot of work in it (14 songs) but it's at most an average album. 6.5 is a good rating for it if you ask me. I'm not a big fan of Metallica although I have listened to their whole disco, I just pick a few songs from each album and actually non from their last 2. "Mama Said" is a good song, so is "Outlaw Torn" and "Bleeding Me" but that's it...

Europeans prefer their sterile overproduced pop garbage over music with groove and soul when it comes to commercial metal stuff.

I prefer the American (and British) approaches.

so you admit Brittan is not Europoe? When it comes to changes Europe has better possibilities, not Hollywood

Its a good album. While musically it might not be as strong but lyrically its in its best form. James Hetfield sounds genuinely depressed here.

In this year(s) of 2017 and around, i found Load and Reload are enjoyable to hear, studio version or live version..... good but true

The black album had the passable enter sandman, Reload had Fuel. This contains nothing of note worth, hundreds of bands playing hard rock on the radio sound way better than this. You know you truly suck when even a song about your mum is garbage.

Pretty friggin' underrated IMO. This actually has great songs on it, albeit some filler, but hey it's a Metallica album.
